1-Body scanners

A body scanner sends electromagnetic rays through a patient’s body and sensors detect how much different parts of the body absorb the rays.

A computer uses this data to build up an image of the inside of a patient’s body.

Body scanners allow doctors to find and treat conditions such as tumours in their early stages and other types of diseases

2-Patient monitoring

Computers are used in hospitals to monitor critically ill patients in intensive care units.

The patient has sensors attached to him which detect changes in heart rate, pulse rate, blood pressure, breathing and brain activity.

If any of these fall below a preset level the computer sounds an alarm and alerts the medical staff.

The data is also logged and used to analyse the changes in a patient’s condition over a period of time.

3-Organ transplants

Computerised databases are used to help match patients who are waiting for organ transplants such as a new kidney, liver or heart, with suitable organs from donors.

4-Patient records

Computerized databases are used by every hospital in the country to store information about patients.

Uses of these databases include: organising the transfer of patients between wards recording the history of a patient’s appointments with a consultant booking outpatient appointments booking ambulances ordering equipment.

5-How computer science equips medical research

The use of a BBC newsreel and interviews highlight also highlights some of the data storage and processing challenges associated with collecting, storing, and effectively and efficiently interrogating extremely large data sets.

Areas where ICTs are used

Education:

Schools use ICT to do several things. For example in this school we use iPads because it’s easier to communicate, search, store, send data and information. On other schools they use computers to teach their students how to use them, use all the tools in the computer on an effective way.

Business:

ICT improves quality at the time of doing business or for costumers. With ICT you can do online transactions in an easier way, access to the stock value as a costumer on an online network. You can share information and data with other person much easier.

Medicine:

Some examples of how technology has helped medicine, is the robot “Da Vinci” with this robot doing medical procedures in a much easier level. Now it’s more easy to store files and record of patients with the use of technology.

Transportation:

ICT can help the planning and accessibility of transport. ICT can help the planning and accessibility of transport.

Conclusion: ICT are used in our daily life in ways we could not even have imagined. ICTs help us in the most hardest aspects of our daily life making it easier for us and getting more comfortable in hard aspects

My favorite Tv Show

My favorite Tv Show is HIMYM (How I met your mother).

HIMYM is a Tv Show that focus the romantic relationship and day to day life about Ted Mosby and his four closely friends, Barney Stinson, Marshall Ericksen, Lily Aldrin, and Robin Sherbatsky. The story is told by a more grown up Ted telling his children the story about how he met there mother

This is my favorite Tv Show because Its fun, engaging, It has very interesting and developed characters. The story is genuine and it has an amazing creativity that it would make you love this Tv Show.

Nerworks and WWW

A group of systems, electronical devices and hardware that are all connected between them.

MAN (Metropolitan area network)

The WWW (World Wide Web) is considered as the biggest network of online content and you can access it via HTTP.

Im Renato Martinez Im 14 years od and Im in middle school.
I would like this class to be dinamic, not that boring, once in a while do something interesting and not copying texts all the time, but overall this is a good class to be in and a nice teacher.
